This is an excellent opportunity to develop your own seafront seasonal business in a popular south coastal resort. These trading opportunities are located on prime areas of Weymouth beach where trading has been a feature of the seafront since the early 19th century.
The attractions will trade alongside established catering and retail kiosk facilities, located on the Promenade and on the beach. The Beach and Promenade Plan that illustrates the layout of the sites of the attractions and other seafront businesses, forms part of the Tender documentation.
The council is an accredited Real Living Wage employer and would encourage any tender submissions for these sites to indicate they will operate their business in the same way.
Trading will be permitted from the site between 1 March and 7 October; commencing May 2021 for a term of 10 years; with a break option at year 5.
The council is not seeking large noisy fairground-type rides on the beach. Both traditional and modern attractions, which offer something new to the thousands of visitors, will be considered.
