Weymouth Climate Map – contribute now!

Weymouth Town Council needs your help to reach Net Zero Carbon by 2030

The impacts of climate change are already causing serious damage around the world. In response to the climate crisis, Weymouth Town Council declared a climate and ecological emergency and are committed to acting at a local level to reduce the council’s carbon footprint to net zero carbon by 2030.

To enable Weymouth to reduce its carbon emissions it will require us all to do our bit, and make changes in every area of life, from travel habits, to construction, to the food we eat. We need your help to ensure our Climate Change Strategy meets the needs of our local community and reflects your priorities. Now you can take part in our survey!

Do you have an idea or suggestion for tackling the climate crisis in Weymouth? Which local greenspaces are of value to you and your local community? What do you think of local bus and cycling provision?

Use our interactive Commonplace map to give us your thoughts on the above questions and more. Just click ‘Have your say’ below, drop a pin on the map and complete the survey to help us create a greener, cleaner, healthier and more connected Weymouth for all.

Visit our Commonplace website to find out more about this project. The survey will run until 21st July.
