There’s still time to apply for a stall at this year’s Community Expo!

Following on from the success of last year’s first event, Weymouth Town Council’s Community Expo returns in May at the town’s iconic Jubilee Clock.

The event is a twist on the council’s annual town meeting highlighting the work of voluntary and community groups in the town, and also provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to find out more about council services and projects, and how you can get more involved in the decision-making process. There will also be a chance to meet the newly elected Mayor of Weymouth at the formal Annual Town Meeting itself at 1pm at the Town Council stand.

If you are a local charity or community group who would like to take part and run a stall at the free event, then Weymouth Town Council would love to hear from you. The deadline for applications is still open until Friday 5th May at midday.

You could be running a stall alongside these other organisations:

Weymouth Carnival

Citizens Advice

Dorset Police Community Speed Watch

Age Uk

Royal Voluntary Service

Nothe Fort

Hangers Heroes

Chesil Sailability

5k your way

Weymouth Climate Hub

Dorset Council Fostering Team

Families and Babies

Air 107.2

Weymouth and Portland Lions Club

Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Ann Weaving said, “This is a great event for your organisation to get involved in having a stall for the day. Due to the location at the town’s Jubilee Clock, you can interact with Weymouth residents as well as visitors, and raise awareness about all the work you do. There is still chance to apply to be part of the event, so make sure you get your applications in by Friday 5th May!”

The event runs from 11am to 2pm on Saturday 20th May, with stalls located by the Jubilee Clock.

If your organisation would like a stall at the Community Expo 2023, email events@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk for further details.
