Weymouth Town Council to light up Jubilee Clock for charities
After lighting up the Jubilee Clock in 2022, the Council will once again be lighting up the clock face of the iconic Weymouth landmark in 2023 to raise awareness for good causes.
The following charities and events have been chosen following public nominations:
July: Weymouth RNLI 23rd – 25th July
August: The Lexi May Trust 14th – 16th August
September: C’Siders Cancer Support Group 15th – 17th September
October: Weymouth Rotary Club 20th – 22nd October
November: Weldmar Hospice 24th – 26th November
December: The Nest Weymouth 8th – 10th December
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Kate Wheller, said, “We are delighted to once again be raising awareness for charities and good causes by lighting up the Jubilee Clock. The first charity that will be highlighted is the RNLI which is fitting as it’s Lifeboat Week.”
“There are some more fantastic charities that will be lighting up the clock for the remainder of the year who do so much to benefit communities in Weymouth, so look out for the different colour changes on the clock.”
