Temporary Closure of Granby Close, Weymouth

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Granby Close, Weymouth from its junction with the B3158 for a distance of approximately 75 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 30 November 2023 between 0930 and 1430, however the lift is anticipated to last approximately 2 hours. The Notice will remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 November 2023.
This Notice will enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution safe access to position a crane to allow the removal of switchgear and transformer from the substation.
On this occasion there will be no alternative route.
