Dorset Towns of Culture 2025

The Town Councils in Weymouth and Portland, and organisations representing the arts, business and communities were delighted to learn their bid to become Dorset Towns of Culture in 2025 was successful.

The initiative is run by the Arts Development Company which announced in August that Portland and Weymouth will take the baton from Bridport next year, which will see a variety of creative events planned across the two towns.

What happens next?

Project partners are now looking to appoint an experienced person / company / organisation to provide services for the coordination and project management of the Towns of Culture. The contract is anticipated to start no later than January 2025 and run until December 2025. If you are interested in applying, please download the documents below.

Design Brief

Proposals are also sought for a Weymouth and Portland or Dorset-based designer to create a visual identity for the 2025 Towns of Culture Programme.

Public Relations Brief

The Towns of Culture Project Board invited proposals from PR agencies / freelancers to develop and deliver a press and public relations strategy for Weymouth and Portland Towns of Culture 2025.
