Invitation to Traders – Guy Fawkes Night
Are you a trader who would like a pitch at Weymouth Town Council’s annual firework display on Saturday 5th November?
Weymouth seafront will experience high footfall in connection with the free event. Traders who would like a pitch on the Promenade should submit their application no later than midday on Wednesday 19th October.
The format for the evening is as follows:
4pm – Fairground opens on the Pavilion Forecourt.
7.40pm – Beach Bonfire located on the beach near to the sand modeller’s unit is lit.
8pm – Fireworks are ignited from a vessel in Weymouth Bay.
We invite applications from both food and non-food traders for the evening. Please submit by emailing procurement@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk with details of your business, a photograph of your stall / stand. Following a review of applications, confirmation to trade will be sent together with details of your allocated pitch.
On the day:
Access to set up on the Promenade at the allocated site will be available from 5pm on the evening.
Stall holders must supply their own silent running generators as required on this occasion.
Stall holders must dispose of their own waste. Traders are encouraged to not offer single use plastics.
Stall holders must provide a copy of their public liability insurance, be registered with Environmental Health, hold a 4- or 5-star rating and show compliance of food hygiene when submitting their application.
All traders will need to be clear from the Promenade by 9.30pm on Saturday 5th November.
Pricing based on a 4m x 3m space:
Hot Food Sellers – £99.00 including VAT
Other Food/Drinks Sellers – £69.00 including VAT
Trade Pitches – £49.00 including VAT
Once your site has been allocated, you will receive confirmation from the Council and a Council invoice will be sent to you. It should be noted that invoices must be paid prior to trading.
