Weymouth Town Council are pleased to be able to offer these exciting opportunities to join the Council.

Although the country has been in lockdown, Weymouth Town Council has not stopped growing its services and raising its aspirations. There has never been a better time to join the Council as we prepare a new five year plan to drive forward exciting new projects like Tumbledown Farm, Neighbourhood Planning, Council run cafes, and meeting our commitment to our declaration of a climate and ecological emergency.

The available opportunities are:

Marketing and Communications Officer – Full time

You will be a creative and dynamic person with a strong background in marketing and communications. You will be keen to embrace new technologies and the challenges that brings. You will be instrumental in developing new income streams and capitalising on opportunities.

Project Officer – Full time

You will be a pro-active and enthusiastic person with good project management knowledge, capable of juggling diverse workstreams and workloads. You will be able to turn your hand to most areas of research and be able to scope out exciting new projects for the Council.

Parks Operations & Development Supervisor – 41.5 hours per week mid-March to mid-September & 32.5 hours per week mid-September to mid-March

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery, supervision and operation of Weymouth’s parks and open spaces. You will undertake routine inspection duties to ensure that the work is completed to meet quality targets and to ensure that the service plan and corporate aims are achieved. You will also be instrumental in delivering a range of projects to develop and improve Weymouth’s parks and open spaces.
