Starts: 15/04/2024 Ends: 15/10/2025

Dorset Council has issued an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
The Order comes in to operation on 15 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15 May 2024.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.
The effect of the Order is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Bradford Road between its junctions with Emerson Road and Tennyson Road
[2] To impose temporary clearway on Bradford Road between its junctions with Emerson Road and Tennyson Road to prevent vehicles stopping, except those
associated with the works.
Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles
Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd
on 01305 889421.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
