Temporary Traffic Management Order of Various Roads, Weymouth for Dusk Till Dark Parades, 2024

DORSET COUNCIL has issued an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit the use of the following roads by cyclists, horse riders and all mechanically propelled vehicles, except those taking part in the event and emergency vehicles, to facilitate a public event on the highway.
On Friday 27 September 2024 between 20:30 and 22:00 and Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900 and 2200. The effect of this Order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Cove Street & Hope Square between its junctions with Cove Row and Hope Street, on Friday 27 September 2024 between 2030hrs and 2200hrs
[2] To impose temporary road closure on The Esplanade between King Statue and the section of Esplanade road in front of Pavilion forecourt, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs
[3] To impose temporary road closure on The Esplanade between the Pavilion roundabout and Custom House Quay, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 2020hrs and 2100hrs
[4] To impose temporary road closure on The Esplanade alongside the western side of Alexander Gardens, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs
[5] To impose temporary road closure on Bond Street at its junction with The Esplanade, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs
[6] To impose temporary road closure on St Alban Street at its junction with The Esplanade, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs
[7] To impose temporary road closure on Pilgrims Way at its junction with The Esplanade, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs
[8] To impose temporary road closure on South Parade at its junction with The Esplanade, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs
[9] To revoke one way system on East Street between its junctions with Market Street and Mitchell Street, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs
[10] To impose temporary two way traffic flow on East Street between its junctions with Market Street and Mitchell Street, on Saturday 28 September 2024 between 1900hrs and 2200hrs to allow access for residents/businesses
