The Mayor of Weymouth’s Charity Fundraiser

The Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Jon Orrell, will be hosting a charity fundraiser on Friday 2nd May with all proceeds going to his chosen charity, The Lantern Trust, who provide valuable help and support for people in Weymouth.

The event starts at 7.30pm at The Centenary Club, (doors open at 7pm.) During the evening there will be a raffle and a performance from local blues and soul band, The Omega Project.

Cllr Jon Orrell, Weymouth’s Mayor said: “I am delighted to be hosting this fundraiser, with all proceeds going to my chosen charity of the year, The Lantern Trust. This local Weymouth charity helps people who are homeless or have mental health issues. There will be a raffle and a performance from The Omega Project, who perform cover hits from The Blues Brothers, Amy Winehouse, Sting plus more.

“I hope you can join me at this community event for an evening of fun and entertainment, all while raising money for a worthy cause. I also encourage people to attend in Blues Brothers attire should they wish!”

This will be the last event Cllr Jon Orrell will be hosting before his term as Weymouth’s Mayor ends and residents are invited to attend and join in with the fun while helping to raise valuable funds at the same time.
