Street entertainers wanted!

Calling all street entertainers. Would you like the opportunity to showcase your talent to a wide audience on Weymouth’s iconic seafront?

We are launching a new scheme for street entertainers including musicians, mime artists, circus performers, magicians etc to perform at two prime locations along the Promenade:

Opposite Alexandra Gardens and by the Jubilee Clock

This is part of our Seafront Strategy and will add to the varied programme of entertainment available in the resort all year-round.

How do I apply?

The scheme is now open for applications. You will need to apply for a permit which if approved is valid for six months. Please read the terms and conditions below.

Are there certain slots / times for performances?

If you are granted a permit to perform, the hour-long slots can be booked between 10am and 7pm, seven days a week, on a first come first serve basis. Details on how to book with our beach office staff will be supplied with the issue of each permit.

Is there a fee for the permit?

No, there is no fee for the permit. These are is valid for six months, after which time you would need to re-apply.
