Weymouth Town Council launches photo competition
Inspired by recent news that Weymouth Beach was ranked 20th most popular beach in Europe, and number 1 in the UK, Weymouth Town Council is launching a photo competition.
Cllr David Harris, Leader of Weymouth Town Council, said: “We love our beach, so it’s no surprise to see it pick up another accolade in the Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Awards. But there’s so much to celebrate beyond the shoreline, and so we’re inviting people to enter our photo competition and submit their favourite photographs of Weymouth! Whether that’s the beach, Jubilee Clock, a favourite place to perch in one of our parks and gardens, or the people that make our coastal town the unique place it is. We would love to see your snaps and hear why you think it is such a great image.”
How to enter?
The photo competition is open until 5pm on Monday 7th April.
Please email a jpeg at least 2MB in size to comms@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk
You should include a brief line to explain why you like it and when it was taken.
Weymouth Town Council will be featuring the best images on their social media channels, with followers having the opportunity to vote for their favourite three.
Terms and conditions
By submitting an entry to this competition, individuals consent to Weymouth Town Council using the images on social media.
All artwork must be the photographer’s own work. Images with watermarks are not able to be accepted.
