Film Night: The Cruel Sea

Classic British war film. 1953 Dir Charles Frend. A corvette is sent to protect convoys in the North Atlantic. The mettle of its novice crew is tested by the weather, the sea, and U-boats. Starring Jack Hawkins, Donald Sinden and Virginia McKenna.
