Modern slavery
Modern Slavery is the term used to describe a range of illegal activities, which involve people being held in forced service. It includes activities such as:
- forced or compulsory labour
- servitude – the obligation to provide services imposed by force
- human trafficking
As a council, we have a responsibility to safeguard the community. We’re committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains, or any part of our organisation.
