By-election called for Wey Valley ward

A by-election will take place on Thursday 8th December for a new town councillor to represent Wey Valley ward.

The vacancy follows an announcement from Graham Winter that he was standing down from the role. Graham was the first Mayor of Weymouth, and Weymouth Town Council would like to thank him for all the work he did while serving as a councillor.

A poll will now be held and nomination papers must be hand delivered to the Returning Officer, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ between 9.30am and 4pm on any working day after the date of publication of this Notice (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday, 11th November 2022.

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12
