Do you have any memories of Radipole Park Gardens?
Weymouth Town Council are looking for people who would be happy to share their memories of Radipole Park and Gardens for an oral history project. Audio recordings of some of these memories will be added to the Park’s website and help to tell the story of its everyday history.
Did you grow up near Radipole Park or bring your children here when they were little? Or can you remember what the park was like in the 1950s, 60s or 70s? Then we’d love to hear from you!
History is all around us but historical records often miss out ordinary people talking about everyday events.
Anyone who has a story about the history of the Park is welcome to take part which involves:
- Being available to attend a short interview session, when you will be asked about your memories of the Park. Interviews will likely take place late 2023 or early 2024.
- Agreeing that an audio recording of your interview, or part of your interview, may be added to the Radipole Park & Gardens website.
