Exciting news about Radipole Park and Gardens…

Weymouth Town Council is delighted to announce it is working with Mamma Bee’s Cafe who will operate the new kiosk facility in Radipole Park and Gardens. The kiosk will open on Saturday 20th July, from 9am to 5pm, serving a range of drinks and snacks.

The toilets will also be open from the 20th for all park users and they will be open 9am to 5pm, the same times as the kiosk. The kiosk and toilets will be open seven days a week over the summer.

And the official opening event which was postponed due to strong winds and rain will now take place on Saturday 10th August, 11am to 2pm. The new celebration event will have activities focused on the range of revamped facilities from the tennis club up to the play area. The Deputy Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson will also be in attendance.

We will have petanque players there on the day, offering ‘come and try petanque’ sessions to all comers.

There will also be have a go at tennis sessions, and Dorset Wildlife Trust will be there with an engagement stand talking to visitors about wildlife.

The new car park facility is open but as we are expecting a high number of people to attend the event and park spaces are limited we would advise you to walk into the park if you have that option. The closest alternative parking is at the Swannery Car Park which is half price over the summer period.

A full timetable of activities will be published soon so keep an eye on the Council’s social media for more updates. Photos below showing some of the revamped facilities at the park.
