Free prize draw for residents attending the Weymouth Community Expo
Residents are being offered the chance to win a £100 high street shopping voucher when they attend the Weymouth Community Expo event on Saturday 23rd April.
All you have to do is come along to the free event and tell us what you love most about Weymouth and your community. The expo takes place at Redlands Community Sports Hub on Dorchester Road, so just drop by anytime between 12pm to 2.30pm to fill out your entry. Whether you want to big up a community group who go the extra mile to help people in a particular part of Weymouth, or you just love the beach and promenade, Weymouth Town Council wants to hear from you!
The event will also provide opportunities to ask any questions about council services and there will also be information available on key projects, such as Tumbledown community grow space. Local community, sports and hobby groups will also be there so it’s also a great opportunity to find out more about what’s on in the town and how you can get more involved.
Cllr Colin Huckle, Mayor of Weymouth, said: “Come along to the Weymouth Community Expo event and tell us what you love most about the town and your community. There’s a prize of £100 high street voucher up for grabs for the best suggestion.
“This is a twist on the annual town meeting showcasing voluntary and community groups, along with town council services, and there’s still time to apply to have a stand at the event. There will also be free children’s activities including face painting, so families are encouraged to join us on the day.”
Community and voluntary groups still have time to apply to have a stand at the event. Email events@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk for a booking form before the deadline closes on Friday 8th April 2022.
On the day the event runs from 12pm to 2.30pm at Redlands Community Sports Hub, Dorchester Road, Weymouth DT3 5AW.
