Have you had your say in Residents’ Survey?

“If you’ve been to one of our recent events like Remembrance Sunday, or any of our firework displays, or you’re planning to come to Carols by the Coast this December, we’d love you to complete our Residents’ Survey’. That’s the message from Cllr Matt Bell, Chair of Weymouth Town Council’s Environment and Services Committee as the Council’s Residents’ Survey hits the halfway point.

“Tell us what you think of these and other activities we put on, and let us know what type of events you’d like to see more of. Likewise, if you come to the beach or our parks and gardens over the year, we want to know what you think.

“Plus, there’s an option for a resident to win a £100 high street shopping voucher for completing it, which could come in very handy with Christmas just around the corner! Just go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VYSW9T8 to complete it today,” added Cllr Bell.

Services run by the Council include everything from public toilet facilities, parks, gardens, and open spaces to the beach and promenade. It is also responsible for projects like developing Tumbledown, a former farm, into a community asset and runs a packed schedule of events across the town, ranging from large-scale firework displays to the recent Remembrance Sunday service.

Survey questions cover residents’ thoughts on customer service satisfaction levels when contacting the council, what people think of the events the Council puts on, to views on how clean and well-maintained facilities like toilets, parks, gardens, and open spaces are.

Services like housing, highways, planning, bin collections, schools, social care, libraries, benefits, or parking, fall under Dorset Council, not the Town Council.

To build on the work of the previous year, residents are being asked for their views to help shape services across the town. The survey runs until 5pm on Wednesday 11th December, so please have your say before it closes.

£100 shopping voucher up for grabs!

As stated, everyone who completes the short survey will have the opportunity to select whether they want to be entered into a prize draw to win one £100 high street shopping voucher.

The survey is available online or you can also go to Weymouth’s libraries and get support to fill out the survey using the library’s computers. Look out for posters at these and other locations.
