Invitation to Traders – Guy Fawkes Bonfire and Fireworks Evening

Weymouth Town Council are inviting expressions of interest to trade at the Guy Fawkes Bonfire and Fireworks Evening on Friday 5th November 2021.

Stalls will be located on the Weymouth Promenade – please see the below plans for locations:

Weymouth Seafront will experience high footfall in connection with the free evening event on the 5th November.  The format for the evening is as follows:

4pm – Fairground opens on the Pavilion Forecourt

6.30pm – Children’s Guy Fawkes Competition in the Foyer of the Weymouth Pavilion

7.40pm – Beach Bonfire located on the beach near to the sand modeller’s unit is lit

8pm – Fireworks are ignited from a vessel in Weymouth Bay

We invite applications from both food and non-food traders for the evening. Please submit by email details of your business, a photograph of your stall/stand, and your preferred choice of location. Following a review of all applications, confirmation to trade will be sent together with details of your allocated pitch.  Applications to be received no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 27th October 2021 and should be sent to procurement@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk.

On the day:

Access to set up on the promenade at the allocated site can be from 5pm.

Stall holders must supply their own silent running generators as required on this occasion.

Stall holders must dispose of their own waste. The Council encourages traders not to offer single use plastics.

Stall holders must provide a copy of their public liability insurance when submitting their application. Food stall holders must also be registered with Environmental Health and hold a 4 or 5 star food hygiene rating.

All traders to be clear from the Promenade by 9.30pm on Friday 5th November.

Pricing based on a 4m x 3m space:

Hot Food Sellers  – £99.00 including VAT

Trade Pitches – £49.00 including VAT

Once your site has been allocated, confirmation from the Council will be sent and a Council invoice will be sent to you. It should be noted that this must be paid prior to trading.
