Love the Nothe Gardens? Help support it!
The Nothe Gardens is one of Weymouth’s most popular gardens – a great place to walk, run and play whilst enjoying stunning views of Portland and Weymouth Harbour in a beautiful setting.
Weymouth Town Council is asking for volunteers to join the Friends of Nothe Gardens to help support and improve the gardens. Friends groups organise events and activities, fundraise for projects like new play equipment, help keep an eye on the gardens, carry out practical tasks, raise public awareness and much more. There are opportunities for everyone to get involved and it’s a great way to meet new people and help make your local area better.
There will be an initial meeting for those interested in joining Friends of Nothe Gardens at The Nothe Tavern on Wednesday 15th June at 4pm – come along with your ideas to find out more and help make the Nothe an even better place to be! Just turn up, or if you would like further information, please contact parks@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk
Cllr Ann Weaving, Mayor of Weymouth said: “The Nothe Gardens is a beautiful area in Weymouth which is enjoyed by so many, which is why we’re asking for support from local people to help maintain and support this public space. If you’d like to give back to the community and get involved, come along to The Nothe Tavern on Wednesday 15th June at 4pm!”
