Notice of Councillor Vacancy in the Ward of Wey Valley

Due to the resignation of a town councillor, a councillor vacancy has arisen in the Wey Valley ward of Weymouth Town Council. Please see the notice below for further information.

The deadline to request an election is by Tuesday 8th November and the requests must come from voters registered to vote in the Wey Valley ward.

If ten or more electors from the Wey Valley ward request an election to be held, there will be an election which will take place not later than Monday 9th January 2023.

To request for an election to be held, you must put this in writing to Dorset Council. The letter must also include your name, address and signature. Letters can be sent by post or as an email attachment.
