Upcoming Mayoral Engagements – September 

The diary of engagements for Cllr Ann Weaving, Mayor of Weymouth for the month of September is as follows:

Saturday 3^rd September. Photo opportunity for Merchant Navy Day 

Events at:  

9.20am – County Hall, Dorchester 

10.45am – Merchant Navy Memorial on Weymouth seafront (next to the Cenotaph). The Weymouth service will be carried out by Weymouth Merchant Navy. 

12pm – Portland 

Wednesday 7^th September, 10am 

Event: Christchurch Civic Day. 

Friday 9^th September, 11am Photo opportunity 

Event: Weymouth train station forecourt and pocket park opening at Weymouth train station. 

Sunday 11^th September, 2.45pm, Photo opportunity 

Event: Thomas Fowell Buxton Society annual memorial service – Bincleaves open space 

This is a gathering to respect and recognise former MP Thomas Fowell Buxton’s contribution to the area. The service will take place at the Buxton monument in Bincleaves open space. 

Wednesday 14^th September, 2.30pm, Photo opportunity 

Event: Opening of Weymouth Manor residential care home – Radipole Lane, DT4 0TX. 

Thursday 15^th September, 2.45pm, Photo opportunity 

Event: Battle of Britain service of remembrance – RAF Memorial, Bowleaze Cove, DT3 6PW 

The popular service will take place at the RAF Battle of Britain memorial at Bowleaze Cove. 

Friday 16^th September, 10am 

Event: Gillingham Civic Day. 

Friday 23^rd September, 7pm 

Event: Presentation evening for the Weymouth Town Regatta – Royal Dorset Yacht Club, DT4 8BG. 

Wednesday 28^th September, 9am 

Event: Bridport Civic Day.
