Why is Weymouth your favourite place?
Weymouth Town Council have announced a Social Media Competition where the public could be in with a chance of winning some great prizes! To enter you must tell us why Weymouth is your favourite place (no more than 30 words).
You could share your unique perspective, by attaching a captivating photo with your words. You will be in a chance of winning one of the prizes below:
- £25 voucher to spend at the Prom Café located along Weymouth Seafront.
- Sunbed and Parasol hire for 1 day.
- Watch the final firework display of the summer from our Beach Office balcony on Monday 28th August (maximum of 2 people).
To be in with a chance of winning the Firework display prize, you must enter by Thursday 24th August at 3pm so the winner can be announced ahead of the final display of the summer.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Kate Wheller said: “This is a great way to find out why everyone loves Weymouth while also being in the chance to win some prizes! There is nothing I don’t love about Weymouth and I encourage everyone to enter on the Weymouth Town Council’s Facebook Page!”
To find out how to enter visit our Facebook Page. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity!
- *T&C’s apply* The competition is not open to the Weymouth Town Council employees or Councillors. You must be in Weymouth to claim the Fireworks display, arriving no later than 9.15pm, as the fantastic display starts at 9.30pm. Please note that while we welcome all participants, the Beach Office balcony is not accessible by wheelchair. Inclusivity is important to us, so if you require an alternative prize in such cases, please let us know. Please be informed that the Beach Office balcony can accommodate a maximum of six people. If accessibility is a concern, we’re happy to provide an equally appealing alternative prize. A maximum of two individuals will have the opportunity to observe the Firework displays, as this is in line with the capacity restrictions of the Beach Office Balcony.
