Play Areas

Weymouth Play Areas

Weymouth Town Council manages 18 play areas that provide a range of fun, innovative and exciting equipment for all age groups.

Lodmoor Country Park and Louviers Road Play Area include green gym equipment suitable for adults. There is a free to use skate park at Louviers Road consisting of a quarter pipe, middle ramp, grind box, grind rail and half pipe. There are new roundabouts and a boat at Melcombe and Wyke have been under revamp. Where possible, the council aims to install a range of inclusive equipment with a wide variety of play functions.

£70,000 play area investment completed

In May we completed a £70,000 investment in upgrading seven play parks across Weymouth, bringing new and exciting equipment for children to enjoy in these community spaces. We made enhancements to the following play areas at Pottery Lane, Melcombe Regis, Lodmoor Country Park, Telford Close, Miles Gardens, Westmacott Road and Honeysuckle Close.
